Cordea Savills, the international property investment manager, has appointed Jin Guo as Head of Greater China, based in Hong Kong.

Asia is of increasing importance to Cordea Savills because of the growing wealth in the region, particularly in Greater China, and the appetite among investors for international real estate. In response, Jin will lead new business initiatives with institutions, family offices and private wealth managers.

Prior to joining Cordea Savills, Jin was at ICBC International Investment Management Limited where he played a leading role in establishing real estate funds in Mainland China for state-owned entities as well as providing strategic advice on fund governance.

He began his career in 1994 as an Assistant Economist for Guangzhou City Construction & Development Corporation and worked in real estate roles for a number of companies, including Quotable Value Limited, CB Richard Ellis Limited and Cazenove Asia Limited. He has a Bachelor’s degree in English from Shenzhen University and Conjoint degree in Commerce (Finance) and Property from the University of Auckland. His professional qualifications include CFA Charterholder and membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Justin O’Connor, Cordea Savills’ Chief Executive Officer commented: “Jin has built an extensive network of investors, developers, property owners and professionals in Asia during his 20 years in the industry. His knowledge and experience will be invaluable as we grow the Cordea Savills’ business in a region where investors have a growing appetite for international real estate.”

Jin commented: “I am joining Cordea Savills at a time when its proposition is increasingly sought after by Asian investors. We have the expertise to help investors diversify into overseas markets not only by offering attractive real estate opportunities but also by overcoming the difficulties of cross-border investment .”
