Cordea Savills, the international property investment manager, has appointed Pauline Chong as Director of Institutional Business, South East Asia and Australia. Pauline will spearhead Cordea Savills’ development of new business in Malaysia and other regional South East Asian markets as well as support the company’s partners in the region.

Prior to joining Cordea Savills, Pauline structured off-market real estate transactions and distributed club investment opportunities to investors in South East Asia. She began her career as an investment banker after completing an INSEAD MBA, working for Jefferies International and then Standard Chartered. She originated, structured and executed equity and debt financing deals in China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Taiwan and has more than seven years of experience in capital raising and corporate finance across the commodities, transportation, renewable energy and power sectors.

Michael Flynn, Cordea Savills’ Head of South East Asia and Australia commented:“We are delighted to welcome Pauline to the team as we strengthen our operation in Asia, where investors are increasingly interested in diversifying their growing portfolios internationally. Her extensive experience will underline Cordea Savills’ reputation in the region as a leading property investment manager.”

Pauline Chong added, “I am extremely excited about the opportunity to further develop Cordea Savills’ investment operations in Asia. There is a lot of positive market sentiment towards real estate investments as both institutional clients and private investors see property as a natural anchor for value in their investment portfolios. Cordea Savills is well placed to help advise clients with our wealth of experience and access to multiple market transactions across the firm’s footprint.”
