Savills Investment Management, the international property investment manager, has appointed James Bury as Chief Operating Officer, with a global remit across the business.
In this newly created role, James will join the firm’s Executive Board. His responsibilities will include Risk, Compliance, HR, IT and other operations across the group as well as playing an important role managing the growth of the business. James will report into Chief Executive Justin O’Connor.
James is a highly experienced and well known leader in the commercial real estate market with particular expertise in the retail sector in Europe. James joins Savills Investment Management from the retail property fund manager, Pradera, where he had been Chief Executive since 2012. Prior to that, he ran Pradera’s European operations as Managing Director and Head of Asset Management. James was previously a Director of JER Partners and a Director of Property at Henderson Global Investors, where he worked on a number of successful fund launches.
